Congrats on the 12 HERS score. Wow! That's fantastic! We just moved into our new ultra-energy-efficient, earth-friend universally designed home. We got a 41, with full 2 story ICF and no solar or geothermal. I just read through your whole blog and feel like we have a lot in common. In addition to the home building, I lived in GR until a few years ago. I live with the effects of a traumatic brain injury sustained in GR in 2004 (thus the universal design). Our blog is http://dejongdreamhouse.blogspot.com/. We get up to GR often, if you're up for it, we'd love to meet up and hear more about your gorgeous new home.

Scott: Thank You. I've been a slacker at posting on the blog...I will update with more information soon.

Jen: Thank You. How exciting for you moving into your new home...and exhausting :) I love your blog! We might have more in common - my maiden name De Young which was originally De Jong(e?). Would love to get together when things settle down for you.
